The updated Nokia 6 is expected to be a dual-SIM device and sport a thin-bezel design with a taller 18:9 display.

HMD Global is reportedly planning to launch the 2018 edition of the Nokia 6 smartphone. It could be launched on January 19 alongside the Nokia 9 and the 2018 edition of the Nokia 8 smartphone. According to a report by NokiaPowerUser, the Nokia 6 has cleared the TENNA certification, however, the listing doesn’t reveal any images or detailed specifications. The smartphone sports TA-1054 as its model number and is believed to be a dual-SIM device. It was previously speculated that the aforementioned model number is assigned to the rumoured Nokia 9.

The revamped Nokia 6 is expected to sport a design language similar to the Nokia 7. It could sport reduced bezels and remove the hardware touch buttons to accommodate a taller 18:9 display. As per the report, the smartphone will come with a dual rear camera setup and the 'Bothie' feature, similar to the Nokia 8.

Further, the 2018 Nokia 6 is rumoured to sport a 5.5-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It could be powered by a Snapdragon 630 SoC and 4GB RAM coupled with 32GB of internal storage. The smartphone is tipped to sport a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and as mentioned earlier, could launch alongside the Nokia 9 and Nokia 8 (2018) smartphones early next year.

The Nokia 9 is expected to be HMD Global’s flagship smartphone. A previous report reveals that the smartphone might be priced at 3,699 Yuan (Rs 37,000 approx directly converted) for the 6GB RAM/64GB ROM variant and 4,199 Yuan (Rs 42,000 approx directly converted) for the 6GB RAM/128GB storage model. The 2018 edition of the Nokia 8 smartphone is expected to receive an upgrade in RAM and onboard storage.
