It is a conference that brings together the biggest brands, innovators, and technology experts from around the world. In addition, it also provides a platform for organisations to launch their latest smartphones, smart devices, AI solutions, and next-generation connectivity solutions. After several years of record-breaking attendance, the 2026 event is expected to draw lakhs of visitors to Barcelona. MWC 2026: Dates

The Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 will take place from March 2 to March 5. Although the main event kicks off on March 2, reports claim that many of the prominent brands will host launch events before the official opening. At the time of writing, we know that Xiaomi is expected to hold its launch event on February 28, while Honor will follow with announcements on March 1.

MWC 2026: Venue

Much like the previous years, the MWC 2026 will be hosted in Fira Gran Via in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, Barcelona, Spain. The city has hosted the tech event for 20 long years now, and each year the venue offers multiple halls for exhibitions, keynote sessions and live demonstrations. Furthermore, the city also hosts networking events, media briefings and private brand showcases throughout the week.

MWC 2026: Registration details

If you’re planning to attend MWC 2026 in Barcelona, Spain, then you must complete your registration for the event. You can do so by creating an account on the MWC Barcelona website. Alternatively, you can also sign in if you’ve previously created one. Following that, you need to select the pass that most suits you. Once done, you need to fill in your personal information, upload an image for the verification and identification process and lastly, complete the registration process. Do note that you can grab your digital pass for the event on the MWS app.

Ticket options include:

  • Exhibition tickets for access to exhibition floors
  • Conference tickets for access to keynote speeches
  • VIP and partner tickets

We would advise you to register early, as the costs may rise as the dates for the events approach. Additionally, the participants will have to register online before gaining access.

MWC 2026: What to expect

According to reports, Xiaomi is also expected to launch a new flagship smartphone with an emphasis on camera features, possibly developed in collaboration with Leica, following the renewal of their partnership. Honor is also expected to launch its Magic V6 foldable smartphone, as well as new tablets and laptops.

Apart from that, the foldable smartphones will also continue to be a highlight as Motorola is expected to unveil its new Razr foldable smartphones, which are similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold.

Other than that, Meta, TCL, and Oppo are expected to launch AI-powered glasses, smart wearables, and live translation features. We are also expecting the announcement of new and improved AI capabilities for health, productivity, and personal assistants.

Talks about the 6G expansion are also expected to begin early, as Qualcomm may unveil updates about next-generation mobile networks during their keynote. Apart from that, Nvidia may unveil its new AI chips and processing technology. Lastly, SpaceX is expected to provide updates about Starlink and its expanding global coverage.
