Nokia has announced an upgraded version of its Nokia 5 smartphone with 3GB of RAM. The device was initially launched with 2GB of RAM back in June and was an offline exclusive only available in brick and mortar stores.
This time around, Flipkart is hosting the sale for the 3GB variant of the Nokia 5 starting 12:00 AM November 7. It will be a Flipkart exclusive for a week starting November 7 and will be available in select retail outlets starting November 14. The Nokia 5 comes in Matte Black and Tempered Blue colour variants and is priced at Rs 13,499.
“Nokia 5 has already forged a reputation for being a beautifully crafted phone which punches well above its weight,” said Ajey Mehta, Vice President India, HMD Global. “Now we have added more memory so fans can get enhanced performance in the same precision engineered design.”
Apart from the 3GB memory, the Nokia 5 is identical to its 2GB variant in every other way. It features an all-metal aluminium unibody design. The smartphone features a 5.2-inch 720p HD display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The Nokia 5 is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 430 platform and comes with 3GB of RAM. The 16GB of internal storage can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card.
The Nokia 5 features a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and phase detection autofocus. It sports an 8MP front-facing camera with 84-degree field of view. The device runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and HMD Global has confirmed that it will receive the Android Oreo update by the end of 2017. Further, the handset is backed by a 3000mAh battery and offers connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 and micro USB port with USB OTG support.
