Motorola One Power could be an Android One smartphone running on Snapdragon 636: Report
HIGHLIGHTS

The Motorola One Power is speculated to be an Android One smartphone that could be launched running on Android 8.1 Oreo.

Lenovo might soon launch an Android One powered smartphone named Motorola One Power. Its specs have leaked yet again, giving an idea of what to expect from the device. The new report comes from Techienize and alongside the spec sheet, there is also an image of the upcoming handset. Going by the image, the Motorola One Power could sport a thin-bezel display with a notch on top and feature a dual rear camera setup. The design of the smartphone somewhat resembles the recently launched Lenovo Z5, however, the notch on the Motorola One Power is considerably wider in comparison.

The spec sheet tips that the smartphone could feature a 6.2-inch Full HD+ display with an 2280 x 1080 pixel resolution. It might be running on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 636 SoC with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It is expected to be a part of Android One program and launch running on stock Android 8.1 Oreo. If this turns out to be true, the Motorola One Power could be one of the first smartphones to receive Android P in the future, with a possibility of getting updated to Android Q as well.

In the camera department, the handset is tipped to feature a 12MP + 5MP dual rear camera with f/1.8 and f/2.0 aperture lens respectively. On the front, it could sport an 8MP sensor with a f/2.2 aperture. The camera specs are dissimilar to what a previous report tipped. It was previously reported that the phone could offer 16MP + 5MP dual-rear cameras with f/1.8 and f/2.0 aperture lenses respectively and on the front, it is expected to sport a 16MP sensor with a f/1.9 aperture lens. Going by the leaked specs, the Motorola One Power could be a mid-range smartphone that goes up against the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro and the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1.

Motorola One Power will reportedly be backed by a 3780 mAh battery that supports turbo charging as well. The smartphone was recently spotted on the 3C certification website with the model number XT1942-1. The listing reveals that the handset will support charging speeds of 5V/3A, 9V/2A and 12V/1.5A. The pricing and launch details of the smartphone are yet to be known but it is speculated that the device might launch in Q3, 2018.
