Motorola Edge 40 Pro is set to release later this year

The press renders of the phone were leaked on Twitter

Motorola Edge 40 Pro is expected to be priced at around Rs. 49,999

Motorola Edge 40 Pro’s press renders were leaked by a Twitter user named Evan Blass (@evleaks) via a tweet. This news comes on the back of Motorola’s announcement of the new Edge 40 Pro, which is set to launch later this year.

Not only the design but the specs of the upcoming phone have made their way out on the internet. The phone is expected to come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. This is pretty much the standard in flagship phones released today. If this is the case, then the phone would be competing in the upper echelons of the Android smartphone market against offerings by Samsung, OnePlus, and Xiaomi.

Motorola

In terms of the screen, the phone is expected to have a 6.67-inch full-HD+ (1080×2400 pixels) 10-bit pOLED panel clocking in a 165 Hz refresh rate and a round hole punch camera cut out at the top. Protecting all this hardware on the font will be Corning’s Gorilla Glass victus. Additionally, if the rumours and reports are anything to go by, the phone is expected to come with Android 13 and would be priced at around Rs. 49,999.

Motorola Edge 40 Pro

The Motorola Edge 40 Pro will be the successor to last year’s Edge 30 Pro. Last year’s release, the Edge 30 Pro, did not get much love from smartphone aficionados for many reasons. The overall package for the price that it was retailing at made for a deal that did not attract many. However, with all the changes that are set to come in with the new Edge 40 Pro, Motorola would expect the sales numbers to be much higher than what they were for the Edge 30 Pro.
