The limited edition units come engraved with “Limited Edition” and the production number, as well as a Valextra cover made from soft calf leather with Valextra “costa” lacquered piping.
BlackBerry has introduced a limited luxury edition of its Passport smartphone. The new edition is available in black and gold colors, and cover done in Valextra leather. BlackBerry has priced the limited edition at USD 899.
“It says, “I mean business and get things done,” and says it with style,” says BlackBerry in a post. While the limited edition has only 50 units (each for black and gold), a third-party company Goldgenie is already offering BlackBerry Passport in gold, rose gold and platinum variants, priced at approximately USD 1000.
"Others are looking to luxury customization company Goldgenie to do the work. It’ll set you back a cool £1,247.50, or US$2,020. Ah, the things we do to make our tech shiny," adds BlackBerry.
Goldgenie, a third-party company that customizes high-tech products with high-end materials, already offers the BlackBerry Passport in gold, rose gold or platinum versions, which are priced around $1,000 each.
BlackBerry recently launched its Classic smartphone featuring full QWERTY keyword, physical navigation keys and design language of the BlackBerry Bold 9900. The BlackBerry Classic runs BlackBerry OS 10.3.1 and is powered by a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor along with 2GB of RAM.
