LeEco has launched its ecosystem membership program in India alongside its “Made for India” smartphone, the Le 1s Eco. The package consisting of the Le 1s Eco and a one-year content membership is called the ‘Supertainment’ package and is priced at Rs. 10,899. The first flash sale for the Supertainment package will be held on May 12 from 2:00 pm, and for the first sale, the package will be available at Rs. 9,999. The content membership fee is priced at Rs. 490 a month or Rs.4,900 a year. In addition, anyone who purchases a one-year content membership plan can get a hardware price reduction of Rs. 4,000.
The company’s ecosystem-based membership program offers users over 2,000 movie titles through Le Vidi, and over 100 TV channels through Le Live. In addition, the membership will also give users access to over 2.5 million music tracks via LeEco Music. The company has partnered by Eros Now, YuppTV, and Hungama to provide content. The LeEco Music will offer music in 25 Indian languages and will also provide more than 50 live online concerts from around the world. LeEco Music with Hungama’s services will be online from the third quarter of 2016. These services will be activated for current Le 1s and Le Max users in India via an OTA update.
The LeEco Le 1s Eco is touted as the first “Made for India” smartphone by the company and comes with Le Vidi, Le Live, and LeEco Music. The device comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display and is powered by a 1.8Ghz MediaTek Helio X10 SoC with 3GB of RAM. At the back of the device is a 13MP primary camera, while at the front is a 5MP camera. The device is equipped with a 3000mAh battery and offers 32GB of onboard storage.
