Lava launches Iris X1 Grand, Mini budget phones

Lava launches Iris X1 Grand, Mini budget phones

Lava has expanded its X1 series with addition two new phones – Iris X1 Grand & Iris X1 Mini – priced at Rs. 7326 and Rs. 4348 respectively.

First up is the Iris X1 Grand. The smartphone has a 5-inch IPS display. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat (upgradable to Lolliop) and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor along with 1GB of RAM. It has 8MP auto focus BSI sensor rear camera and 2MP front facing camera. Connectivity options include USB v2.0, Bluetooth v4.0 and Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n). The smartphone is powered by a 2200 mAh battery.

The Iris X1 Mini has a 4-inch display. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor along with 512MB of RAM. It has 4GB of ROM, supports 32GB expandable storage.  It sports a 5 MP 4x digital zoom rear camera supported with a VGA front camera. It is powered by a 1750 mAh battery.

Both the smartphones will be available sale across all national retail stores, multi-brand outlets and major e-commerce portals in India from first week of February.

Commenting on the launch of both the devices Mr. Navin Chawla, Vice President & Head Product, Lava International Ltd., said, “We are overwhelmed with the great response that we have received for our LAVA Iris X1 over the past 6 months. Iris X1 grand & Iris X1 mini have been launched considering high consumer demand for this design in 4” and 5” screen size devices. With additional features like Intelligent flip cover, Smart Wakeup, Gestures and smart covers these smartphones will surely deliver a delightful user experience.”

Lava recently launched Iris Alfa budget smartphone featuring a 5-inch display, quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 2200 mAh battery. Earlier, it launched the Iris X5 featuring a 5MP front-facing camera with auto focus, BSI+ camera sensor, 84 degree wide angle lense and LED flash.
