Lava's Iris Fuel 60 offers a whopping 4000 mAh battery, which delivers 32 hours of talktime on 2G and also features quick charge technology. The phone is priced at Rs. 8,888 and will be available from 25th of December.

Lava has launched a new Android smartphone with 4000 mAh battery. Called the Iris Fuel 60, the new Lava smartphone is priced at Rs. 8,888. The smartphone will be available from December 25.

The Lava Iris Fuel 60 has a 5-inch 720p IPS display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It runs Android 4.4 out of the box and is upgradable to Android Lollipop. The smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM. The Fuel 60 comes with 8GB of ROM.

The Iris Fuel 60 has 10MP rear camera with LED Flash and 2MP front facing camera. Camera features include HD Video recording and digital zoom with built in  auto-focus, panorama, HDR mode, face detection, smile shot and voice capture. Connectivity options include dual-SIM, 3G, Bluetooth and OTG support.

The 4000 mAh  battery is rated to deliver 32 hours of talk time on 2G. The phone comes with quick charge technology that supposedly restricts the charging time to 3 hours 15 minutes. Besides battery, the phone is loaded with a range of gesture driven features such as double tap wake up and drawing gesture shortcuts.

Lava had recently launched the Iris Fuel 50 smartphone featuring a 3000 mAh battery. Priced at Rs. 7779, the Fuel 50 has 5-inch display, 1.3GHz quad-core processor and 8MP camera.

Gionee has also launched a budget smartphone with a larger battery. The Gionee Marathon M3 has a 5000 mAh battery which is rated to deliver 51 hours of talktime on 2G.
