HIGHLIGHTS

iQOO Z6 Pro 5G may arrive in India in the month of April.

iQOO Z6 Pro 5G could be powered by Snapdragon 778G SoC.

This new iQOO phone is rumored to be a rebranded Vivo T1 Pro 5G.

iQOO may be getting ready to unveil an upgrade to the iQOO Z6 launched last month. The company has been mentioning the iQOO Z6 Pro 5G as part of its iQOO Raid Nights promotions on Twitter. For the uninitiated, Raid Nights is the brand’s talent hunt to find India’s next big YouTube gaming streamer. Also, as part of its Twitter marketing strategy, iQOO is holding a free giveaway contest wherein the lucky winners would win an iQOO Z6 Pro 5G.

Besides this name drop, the brand hasn’t revealed any other key details about the device. So, we shall visit the rumor mill to gather some info.

As spotted by Indian tipster Abhishek Yadav, iQOO Z6 Pro 5G would be “India’s fastest smartphone in the 25K segment”. According to him, the phone would carry the model number I2126 and will be a rebadged Vivo T1 Pro 5G. A screengrab of this particular phone’s Geekbench listing reveals some specs and scores.

Well, as per this purported iQOO Z6 Pro 5G Geekbench scoreboard, the phone has got a single-core score of 755 and a multi-core score of 2695. The tested model runs on Android 12, 6GB of RAM, and an octa-core Qualcomm processor said to be Snapdragon 778G.

Now, in a different report, folks at GSMArena have learned from their source that the iQOO Z6 Pro 5G "will be heavy on performance and gaming" and "offer immersive gaming experience."

But, since these are only claims and speculations, we would manage our expectations accordingly, at least until we have more solid evidence.
