HIGHLIGHTS

iQOO Z6 5G will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset.

It has a 120Hz FHD+ display with a 240Hz touch sampling rate.

It looks similar to the Vivo T1 5G from the backside.

iQOO is going to launch the iQOO Z5 successor aptly named the iQOO Z6 5G. Yes, it will be a 5G phone powered by Snapdragon 695 processor as confirmed by the company itself. It is also extolled as the “fastest” 5G smartphone in the 15 to 18K segment on Amazon India. So, we also know where it will be available. The missing detail though is when it will be launched which according to leakster Abhishek Yadav could be on March 16.

In a teaser video on the brand’s official YouTube channel, we do get to see the backside of the device in two colors viz. greyish black and light blue. Other things revealed thus far are its FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate.

By the way, the company has also floated a new landing page on its website but that doesn’t divulge anything at the time of writing this piece.

That said, from the rumor mill, we have gathered details like that this device may bring a 6.58-inch AMOLED panel and that it could be available in 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB models.

Now from the teasers, the device resembles the Vivo T1 5G, not just in looks but also with respect to some of those aforementioned specs.

Here, take a look at the specifications of the Vivo phone and see what we are talking about.

Vivo T1 5G Specs and Features

Vivo T1 (review) 5G has got a 6.58-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate.

Internally, the phone is driven by a Snapdragon 695 5G SoC along with up to 8+128GB of memory option.

The rest of its offerings include a 5000mAh battery with 18W charging support,  a 3.5mm jack, a 50MP triple rear camera setup, a 16MP front camera, and Android 11 based FunTouch OS 12 software.

Needless to say, iQOO may make changes to these ingredients to differentiate its product. Take, for instance, the use of an AMOLED screen type in place of an LCD.

We may learn what else the iQOO Z6 5G intends to bring in the days leading up to the launch. It is poised to come soon.
