Huawei may be working on a new Honor 8 smartphone: Leaks

Honor 8 is rumoured to feature a 12MP dual camera setup and 4GB of RAM

Earlier this month, Honor announced its V8 smartphone in China with a 12MP dual camera setup and a 5.7-inch display. Now, new leaks suggest that a smaller Honor 8 is in the works. According to the leak, the Honor 8 will feature a similar specification sheet and could be announced in the next month. According to GizmoChina, the smartphone will be available in two variants namely Model 8 FRD-TL10 and FRD-AL00. 

The Honor 8 is likely to be the successor to the Honor 7, which was launched a few months back. According to the Rumours, the phone is likely to be powered by a Kirin 950 or a Kirin 955 SoC. The device is suggest to feature a 5.2-inch display, 4GB of RAM and 3000mAh battery. The Honor 8 is also rumoured to have a similar camera as the V8, which means the device will feature a dual 12MP camera setup. Last year we saw, the Honor 6 Plus which features a dual camera setup with dual 8MP cameras.

The device is suggested to be covered in 2.5D glass, both at the front and back. Rumours also suggest that the phone will support wireless charging and could feature a USB Type-C port for data and charging. It is more than likely that the Honor 8 will be running on Android Marshmallow with EMUI layered on top of it.
