HTC U11 Life smartphone specs leak, tipped to feature Android One
HIGHLIGHTS

If true, then the HTC U11 Life smartphone will become the third Android One device by a major manufacturer this year, following the Xiaomi Mi A1 and Moto X4 Android One Edition

It seems like we may see yet another Android One smartphone this year, this time by HTC. Twitter user, @LlabTooFeR has posted a list of specifications of the HTC U11 Life (also known as HTC U11 Ocean Life) and it was noted that the phone would be a part of the Android One program. If true, the HTC U11 Life will become the third Android One smartphone by a major manufacturer this year, following the Xiaomi Mi A1 and the Moto X4 Android One Edition.

HTC making an Android One device makes sense considering the fact that Google and HTC entered into a cooperation agreement for $1.1 Billion a few weeks ago. The deal will see 2,000 HTC employees working with Google and its Pixel smartphone team. The Mountain View-based company will also receive a non-exclusive license for HTC's Intellectual Property rights.

As for the phone itself, The HTC U11 'Life' is tipped to to feature a 5.2-inch Full HD display and may be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 630 platform. It is tipped to feature 16MP cameras at the front and back. The phone might be equipped with a 2600mAh battery. The device is expected to be available in two variants, 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB. Like the HTC U11 that was released a few months back, the U11 Life is tipped to come with Edge Sense, USonic headphones and IP67 certification. The phone is also expected to come with Android Oreo out of the box. However, as part of the Android One program, it would also receive updates earlier than other devices.
