OnePlus is all set to bring its latest flagship to India. The OnePlus 12 is launching in India on January 23. The OnePlus Smooth Beyond Belief Launch Event will take place in Delhi. After the OnePlus Open, we are excited to see how the OnePlus 12 turns out. Moreover, apart from the OnePlus 12, there is one more exciting news. Many OnePlus fans are also excited about the ‘R’ variant of the OnePlus 12 series. Interestingly, OnePlus revealed the design and launch date of the OnePlus 12R too. Now, not everyone can spot what’s different this year in the design. So, let’s talk about the design of the OnePlus 12R and see how similar it is to the OnePlus 11R’s design.
OnePlus 12R design
The OnePlus 12R will launch in two colours in India, just like last year. These include Cool Blue and Iron Gray. Speaking of the former, it will feature a glossy back, whereas the Iron Gray variant will come with a matte finish. Both colour variants have a matte metal mid-frame. However, the button placements have been changed a little. This year, you will get the signature alert slider on the left, volume rockers, and power button on the right. This is a slight change that OnePlus has made in its OnePlus 12 series.

To the back panel now. It might look completely similar to the OnePlus 11R’s back panel. However, there is also a small change. The OnePlus 12R features a white dot outside the camera island. Now, this will most likely be an LED flash. Why am I not sure about it? Because there is already an LED flash placed inside the camera island just like we saw in the OnePlus 11R. So, I suggest let’s wait until OnePlus officially confirms what it actually is.
On the back, you will get the exact same camera module in the OnePlus 12R. There is a circular camera island that includes a triple camera setup and an LED flash. Like the OnePlus 11 series, this camera module also merges into the side-frame.
