If OnePlus claims 4,500 nits of brightness then it could have the brightest display. 

This will be the world’s first 2K oriental screen.

As the release date of the OnePlus 12 approaches, the excitement is soaring high with everyone talking about the flagship gadget. The smartphone will go live officially in China on 5 December 2023. Ahead of the launch, China-based OnePlus is hyping up the smartphone by sharing teasers. Earlier we got to know about the cameras and wireless charging through these teasers and now we know more about the display.

The company’s next flagship offering, the OnePlus 12 will pack a 2K resolution display that offers up to 4,500 nits of peak brightness. This is going to be a ProXDR display. If OnePlus claims 4,500 nits of brightness then it could have the brightest display.

Currently, flagship smartphones carry displays offering a peak brightness of around 2,600 nits. For comparison, the iPhone 14 Pro Max offers a peak brightness of 2,600 nits and the Samsung Galaxy S23 ultra on the other hand offers up to 1,750 nits peak brightness. Even the upcoming Redmi K70 Pro is confirmed to have a display offering up to 4,000 nits of peak brightness.

Moving on, as I mentioned earlier, the OnePlus 12 will pack a 2K display. This is the world’s first 2K oriental screen. Even the ProXDR display has received an A+ certification from DisplayMate. 

Further, it is confirmed that the OnePlus 12 will pack up to 24GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage.

The OnePlus 12 will arrive in China on the 5th of December. The official launch event will happen at 2 PM local time which is 12PM in India. Currently one can pre-reserve the smartphone in China via the company’s official website and JD.com.
