The smartphone could pack a 3750mAh battery and feature a 5.5-inch display with an 18:9 display aspect ratio.

Honor might be working on the successor of V10, which is expected to be launched in a few months. Now, some details of the upcoming smartphone have surfaced online on TENAA and FCC, tipping at its specifications and design. Some images of the handset on TENAA show the device featuring a horizontally placed dual rear camera setup and an 18:9 display aspect ratio and the FCC listing suggests that the company could decide to skip ahead and name the device as V12 instead of the expected V11.

Going by the listing, the smartphone could come with LTE, dual-SIM standby, run on Android and be backed by a 1,900 mAh battery. It could feature a 5.5-inch display, but this is somewhat dubious as the V10 features a 5.99-inch display and its successor is less likely to be equipped with a smaller sized display. A fingerprint sensor can also be seen on the rear.

The Honor View 10 was launched last late year and came to India early in January this year. The company stressed on the use of AI on the device as it is powered by Huawei’s Kirin 970 chipset which is built on a 10nm process and boasts of a Neural Processing Unit (NPU), which is tailored for handling AI and machine learning-related tasks.

The phone features a 5.9-inch full HD edge-to-edge display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. The device runs on EMUI 5 and is powered by a 3,750mAh battery. On the rear is a 16MP+20MP dual-camera setup where the 16MP sensor that captures images in RGB, while the 20MP is a monochrome sensor.
