The Honor 9 Lite will be available for purchase via a flash sale tomorrow at 12 PM on Flipkart and the company’s website. This will be the fourth flash sale of the smartphone and the company claims that the device was sold out within minutes during the past sales. Its highlights are the dual front and rear camera setup with 13MP + 2MP sensors and the all-glass rear panel.

Honor has priced the 3GB RAM/ 32GB ROM variant of the Honor 9 Lite at Rs 10,999 and buyers will need to pay Rs 14,999 for the 4GB/ 64GB internal storage model. The company has promised to bring new features like Ride Mode and Paytm integration with subsequent OTA updates to the smartphone.

The smartphone also comes integrated with AI-based features, which enable it to identify subjects while shooting a photo. Honor says that it can identify whether the subject is male or female and accordingly make adjustments to the images captured by the camera. The Honor 9 Lite will be available in Sapphire Blue, Glacier Grey and Midnight Black colour variants.

Coming to the specifications, the Honor 9 Lite is powered by the Kirin 659 chipset with an i5 co-processor and features a 5.65-inch full-HD+ IPS display with a taller 18:9 aspect ratio. It runs on EMUI 8.0 layered atop Android Oreo and is backed by a 3000mAh battery. The dual-SIM device also sports a rear placed fingerprint sensor and as mentioned above, comes with a 13MP + 2MP dual front and rear cameras. Both of the sensors support 1080p video recording and the main camera comes with PDAF support and an LED flash.

The smartphone competes directly with Samsung's recently launched On7 Prime (first impression). Both the smartphones are priced at a similar price point but offer different hardware, varying features and performance. You can read our detailed spec comparison of the smartphones here.
