Honor has announced the availability of the Grey colour variant of the Honor 9 Lite smartphone. The new colour model will be available for purchase exclusively via Flipkart and will be priced the same at Rs 10,999 for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB ROM variant and at Rs 14,999 for the 4GB/ 64GB storage model. The highlight of the smartphone is its quad camera setup and an all glass rear glass.

Honor recently launched the phone in India and it comes with some AI-based features. The company says it can identify subjects in frame while shooting a photo. It can also identify whether the subject is male or female and make adjustments to the images captured by the camera accordingly.

Coming to the hardware, the Honor 9 Lite is powered by the Kirin 659 chipset with an i5 co-processor. It features a 5.65-inch full-HD+ IPS display with a taller 18:9 aspect ratio and runs on EMUI 8.0 layered atop Android Oreo. The dual-SIM device also sports a rear placed fingerprint sensor and is powered by a 3000mAh battery. The device is equipped with a 13MP + 2MP dual front and rear cameras, both of which support Full HD video recording. The main camera is supplemented with an LED flash and comes with PDAF support.

Samsung recently launched its On7 Prime (first impression), which competes with the Honor 9 Lite directly. Even though both the smartphones are priced the same, they offer different hardware with varying performance. You can read our spec comparison of the smartphones here.
