Cyanogen will push Android 5.0 Lollipop to OnePlus One in February
The OnePlus One International edition will get CM12 update based on Android 5.0 Lollipop next month.
Cyanogen is all set to push the final Android 5.0 lollipop based CM12 to the OnePlus One international edition this February. While Indian OnePlus One customers will have to wait a bit longer for OnePlus to officially come out with a Stable ROM, if you've got a rooted device, you will be able to download the CM12 ROM from various sources online and manually flash your OnePlus One, once Cyanogen releases the update.
The handset maker ran into trouble last month when Cyanogen signed an exclusive deal with Micromax in India. As a result, the ROM maker announced the decision not to support the OnePlus handset in India and abandon any further software support as well. Micromax on the other hand had a good start selling its Cyanogen based YU Yureka phone in India.
OnePlus has already sold a million smartphones across the globe and is preparing to launch the OnePlus Two later this year. We have also heard rumors that OnePlus is coming up with a mid range phone that might be available later this year as well.
