CoolPad has announced the launch of two new smartphones in India. The new smartphones – Dazen X7 and Dazen 1 – are priced at Rs. 17,999 and Rs. 6,999 respectively. CoolPad’s new phones will be available via e-commerce site Snapdeal, starting June 9.
The CoolPad Dazen X7 has a 5-inch full HD display. It runs Android 4.4.2 with custom CoolUI and is powered by 1.7GHz octa-core processor along with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone has a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. It has 16GB internal storage. It is powered by a 2700 mAh battery. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM and 4G. The phone will be available in two colour options – gold and white. The CoolPad Dazen 1 has a 5-inch 720p display. It runs Android 4.4.4 with CoolUI and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor along with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone has 8GB of built-in storage. The Dazen 1 sports an 8MP rear camera and 5MP front facing camera. The smartphone is powered by a 2500 mAh battery. Connectivity options include dual-SIM and LTE. Priced at Rs. 6999, the phone will compete with the likes of Lenovo A6000 and Xiaomi Redmi 2. Check out our list of best phones under Rs. 7000.
CoolPad is the latest entrant in an already crowded Indian smartphone market. The company has followed the new trend of launching phone via online-exclusive model. Also, it is targeting the budget segments. Recently, quite a few smartphone brands such as InFocus and Meizu have entered the Indian market.
