CES 2015: Lenovo announces P90 & Vibe X2 Pro smartphones, a Vibe Band

Lenovo announces two new smartphones and a wearable band with an e-ink display.

Lenovo announced two new smartphones at CES 2015, the P90 and the Vibe X2 Pro. Lenovo also announced the Vibe Band which is a wearable device with an e-ink display. Besides these, a stylish new flash accessory that plugs into the Vibe X2 Pro's 3.5mm jack was also introduced.

Lenovo Vibe X2 Pro

The Lenovo Vibe X2 Pro sports the same design we saw on the Vibe X2 but with different colour options. The smartphone is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC with its octa-core CPU clocked at 1.5GHz. The smartphone also uses an Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB of RAM.

The screen size has been increased to 5.3-inch 1080p. The smartphone has 32GB of internal storage that can be upgraded via microSD cards. It also features 13MP front and rear cameras and runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat. Lenovo also announced a cool looking selfie flash accessory for the Vibe X2 Pro. The smartphone will be available beginning in April 2015.

Lenovo P90

Lenovo has gone the Asus way with the P90 as the smartphone is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom Z3560 processor with its CPU clocked at 1.83GHz. This phone also has 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage without external microSD card support. The smartphone offers a 5.5-inch 1080p display and has a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front-facing camera. The smartphone comes with a large 4000mAh battery and will be available beginning in February 2015. 

Vibe band

Lenovo also joined the smartband race with its Vibe Band, a smartband with an e-ink display. Lenovo claims that the device has a seven day battery life and will be able to give you notifications on the go. Apart from notifications the band will also be able to monitor your fitness statistics. The Vibe band is a standalone product and can be paired with an Android or an iOS device. The smartband will be available beginning in April 2015 for $89 (Rs. 5,640)
