BlackBerry accidentally declares availability of BBM for Android and iOS
HIGHLIGHTS

The webpage has since been removed, but surely, the BBM client for these two platforms cannot be too far away from the actual release.

We do not know if this is intentional, or just plain oversight, but BlackBerry is certainly drumming up interest for the BlackBerry Messenger client that will soon be available on Android smartphones and the iPhone. In the latest from the Canadian company, the BBM landing page was updated with the banner “BBM for Android and iPhone is here”, which has since been removed. That banner has now been replaced with the “BBM is coming to Android and iPhone” banner.

The page did mention some rather interesting info though. At the time of launch on the two platforms, BBM Voice, BBM Video and screen sharing features will not be available. However, these will be added to the application at a later date via updates.

While there is no official confirmation on the release date of BBM for the two platforms, surely it cannot be too far away. Since one possibly rather excited BlackBerry employee may have jumped the gun in this case. Do keep an eye on the link below, because the page might be updated again soon.

BlackBerry accidentally updated the BBM page with this banner, which has since been removed. No official word yet on the actual release date of BBM for Android and iPhone.
