Finally!
The Apple iPhone 7 will be launched on September 7. The company has sent out invites for an event at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco on that date. The iPhone 7, 7 Plus and possibly even the Apple Watch 2 is expected to be launched on the day.
This is also in line with earlier rumours that the next iPhone would launch on the first Wednesday of September. Further, the new iPhones are expected to start selling overseas from the end of next month. In fact, given Apple’s newfound interest in India, we wouldn’t put it past the company to bring the device here early. However, iPhones are usually launched here around Diwali.
The next iPhone is expected to drop the headphone jack, and sport an AMOLED display for the first time. While Apple has remained tight-lipped up until now, rumours about the company’s devices have been more accurate recently. Further, Apple should take the wraps off a new chipset for iPhones as well, while other software features are also expected.
