YU Yureka could get the Android 5.0 Lollipop update later this month by March 26th.
YU, the Micromax subsidiary which came with its budget friendly performer YU Yureka late last year, is now teasing a new Android Lollipop update for the phone. The company shared the following image on a social networking website.
According to the teaser, the YU Yureka may get the next version of Android by the 26th of this month. The smartphone is one of the most value for money smartphones you can buy in India today. The phone also made news since it is powered by a custom Android ROM made by Cyanogen. Cyanogen had earlier partnered with OnePlus for its ROM.
The new update will bring Android’s Material design and the brand new ART runtime to the phone. It is still early to suggest whether the upcoming update will include Google's new Camera API. In related news, OnePlus One will also get its last Cyanogen update ‘CM12’ which will bring Android 5.0 Lollipop to the smartphone. The CM12 update for the OnePlus One is also due this month.
