Alcatel Flash, octa-core selfie phone launched at Rs. 9,999

Alcatel has launched a new Android smartphone called OneTouch Flash. Touted as a selfie phone, the new Alcatel Flash features a 5MP front facing camera and 13MP rear camera with LED flash. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 9,999 and will be available online via Flipkart starting today.

The new Alcatel Flash has a 5.5-inch HD display. It runs Android 4.4.2 operating system and is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core processor along with 1GB of RAM. It comes with 8GB of built-in storage, supports additional storage up to 32GB via microSD. The smartphone is powered by a 3200 mAh battery.

Smartphone brands have been trying to tap the popularity of selfie with better front facing cameras. HTC recently introduced Desire Eye featuring with 13MP front facing camera. Sony has already launched Xperia C3 selfie phone in India.

Panasonic recently launched Eluga S, an octa-core selfie smartphone for Rs. 11,190. Other features of Eluga S include 5-inch HD display, 1GB of RAM and 8MP rear camera.
