Acer launches 6 new consumer laptops and a lot more at its global press conference

HIGHLIGHTS

At the Acer GPC 2023, we got to see a bunch of new laptops like the Acer Aspire Vero Laptop, Predator Triton 17 X and Predator Helios Neo 16, Swift X 16 Laptop and Travelmate series of business laptops.

There is a new Acer desktop, Chromebook, projector, and gaming monitor.

Different from the rest of the launches, we have the Acer air purifier too.

Acer showcases several new products at its tentpole event christened — Acer GPC 2023. The new releases include a raft of laptops from Acer’s Vero, Swift, Predator and other product families. You also get a new Acer Chromebook, desktop, monitor, projector and air purifier. Let’s cover each of these new arrivals one by one.

1. Acer Vero Laptop

Acer Aspire Vero 15 (AV15-53P) comes with a 15.6-inch 1080p IPS LCD screen with a 16:9 aspect ratio, and 100% sRGB coverage. Above the display, there is a 1440p QHD webcam.

Inside the laptop, you get 13th Gen Intel Core i7 processors and Intel Iris Xe graphics. Among other things, the Vero laptop also brings up to 16 GB LPDDR5 RAM, up to 1TB 2x M.2 SSD storage, Windows 11, Wi-Fi 6E, two Thunderbolt 4, two USB-A ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, DC in, a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The company is proud of using post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastics in the build of this laptop chassis.

2. Acer Predator Triton 17 X

Acer has outfitted a 17-inch 16:10 display on the Predator Triton 17X. This mini-LED panel sports a 250Hz refresh rate, WQXGA refresh rate, over 1000 nits of brightness, a 1,000,000:1 high contrast ratio, and a DCI-P3 100% wide colour gamut support.

Internally, the thing is carrying up to a 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900HX processor, Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 GPU, DLSS 3 support, 5th Gen AeroBlade 3D fans for cooling, up to 64 GB DDR5 RAM, and up to 4 TB PCIe Raid 0 SSD storage.

3. Acer Predator Triton 14

The Predator Triton 14 is armed with a 14-inch 16:10 mini-LED display, that presents 2560 x 1600 resolution, a 250 Hz refresh rate, 100 percent of DCI-P3 coverage, and DisplayHDR 600 compatibility.

Under the hood, the machine bears up to a 13th Gen Intel Core i7-13700H processor, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 or 4050 mobile GPU, up to 32 GB LPDDR5 RAM, an M.2 SSD slot for storage, Wi-Fi 6E, and 5th Gen AeroBlade 3D Fans for airflow.

4. Acer Predator Helios 3D 15 SpatialLabs Edition

Acer Predator Helio 3D offers a 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900HX processor, Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 Laptop GPU, improved cooling mechanism, and up to 32 GB of faster DDR5 memory.

However, the highlight feature of this laptop is the SpatialLabs eye-tracking solution and stereoscopic 3D display that brings about the 3D visuals on the laptop display. Acer notes there are several 3D gaming modes and settings for over 70 titles.

You also get E2600 Ethernet Controller, Wi-Fi 6E, a microSD card slot, 2x USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, and 2x Thunderbolt 4 ( with DisplayPort and Power Delivery support).

5. Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 (PHN16-71)

The Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 ships with 13th Gen Intel Core HX processors, coupled with up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 laptop GPU, up to 32 GB of dual-channel DDR5-4800 MHz RAM and up to a 2 TB PCIe NVMe Raid 0 SSD storage. You can pick the laptop in two display configurations: a 165Hz WQXGA (2560×1600) IPS display with a 3 ms response time or a 165Hz WUXGA (1920×1200) panel with 100% of the sRGB coverage.

6. Acer Swift X 16 (SFX16-61G)

Acer Swift X 16 has got a 16-inch OLED fascia with 3.2K (3200 x 2000) resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio, 500 nits of peak brightness, a 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 500 and TÜV Rheinland Eyesafe display certifications. You also get a 120Hz refresh rate and below 0.2 ms response time.

The laptop is running on up to the AMD Ryzen 9 7940H processor and Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 laptop GPU. The memory configuration goes up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 2 TB of PCIe Gen 4 SDD storage. The connectivity options consist of two USB Type-C ports, HDMI 2.1 microSD card and Wi-Fi 6E.

The company has also unveiled the Acer Predator Orion X Desktop, Nitro XZ452CU V Curved Monitors, Predator X34 V Monitor, Acerpure Pro Vero (AP353-10W) purifier, Acer Chromebook Spin 714, and 6 new Travelmate series of business laptops.
