On the other hand, a desert air cooler uses water-based cooling. It pulls hot air and passes it through water-soaked cooling pads. As the water evaporates, the air becomes cooler and is sent back inside the room.

A window AC generally consumes around 800W to 1,500W or even more. With a window AC, your electricity bill may increase by around Rs 2,000 to Rs 4,500 per month with regular use.
