“We’re excited to share that DALL-E 3, the latest and most capable text-to-image model from OpenAI, is now generally available to everyone within Bing Chat and Bing.com/create—for free!” the tech giant said in a Bing blogpost on October 3.

OpenAI’s DALL-E 3 model brings notable improvements to image quality and detail, while also achieving higher accuracy in recognising human hands, faces, and text within images.

According to Microsoft, since launching Bing Image Creator, over 1 billion images have been generated.
DALL-E 3 uses a powerful neural network to create lifelike and diverse images based on written instructions. It understands and follows prompts with exceptional accuracy. To get the best results, it’s recommended to provide detailed prompts for more refined images.
Also, the model produces highly realistic images that make sense based on the input. The visuals are not only pleasing but also logically connected to the instructions. It goes beyond realism and adds a touch of creativity and artistry to the images.
To ensure safety, every AI-generated image produced by Bing Image Creator is accompanied by Content Credentials. These credentials include an invisible digital watermark that adheres to the C2PA specification. This watermark includes the creation date and time and confirms that the image was generated by AI.
Microsoft further said that its system actively monitors and removes any images that could be harmful or inappropriate.
For those who are unaware, DALL-E 3 is OpenAI’s latest text-to-image model, which will soon be available to ChatGPT Plus and Enterprise users. According to OpenAI, this text-to-image model understands significantly more nuance and detail than the company’s previous systems, allowing users to easily translate their ideas into exceptionally accurate images.
