We know that right now all the biggest tech countries of the world are fighting their best to compete with each other and offer the best. Our beloved Apple, however, seems to be lagging behind in that race. But, it is going with the funda of better late than never, and we may soon get to see a major AI-related announcement from the company. What Apple has confirmed though, is an event on May 7th and it is expected that the tech giant will unveil its new lineup of iPads during the event. What we’re also hearing is that the alleged OLED iPad could feature the most powerful chip for the tablet yet.

Now, this will possibly make the upcoming iPads the first Apple device to be powered by AI. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple could use the May event to step into the world of AI. We can get to see features like on-device Apple-developed features and deeply-integrated chatbots from one or more other companies like Google or OpenAI with the iPadOS18.

Here’s why OLED iPad could be the most powerful tablet yet

Speaking about the upcoming iPads, the Pro models could come with OLED displays. But what’s more interesting is that they are reported to be launched with Apple’s new M4 chip. For those who don’t know, the latest MacBook Air uses the M3 chip. This is expected to be a major upgrade that Apple is giving its iPad Pro series. We might even get to see rounded edges on it, pretty much like the iPhone 15 Pro.

Even the Apple Pencil will see some new improvements. It can come with new and improved haptics for a more enhanced experience. We may also see new squeeze gestures on it, along with magnetic tips. But despite it all, AI will be the star of the show.

It won’t take long to find out how much of this is true. As I said, Apple is hosting its event on May 7 which will give us an idea. Follow this space for more.
