Samsung has already begun rolling out the Android 16-based One UI 8 update to a few flagship smartphones this month. While the Galaxy S25 series has received an update, Samsung India has released the official roadmap for older devices such as the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S23 series, A series smartphones, and others. However, fans may be disappointed because the update will be available to the last generation starting next month, rather than this month. Check the exact One UI 8 update release schedule.

Samsung One UI 8 update release schedule in India

According to a notice posted on the Samsung Members app, the Galaxy S24 series, which includes the S24, S24+, S24 Ultra, and S24 FE, will only receive the update in October 2025, along with a variety of Galaxy A, M, F, Z, and Tab devices. Meanwhile, only the latest Galaxy S25, S25+, S25 Edge, and S25 Ultra received the September update.

Other devices set for the October phase include the Galaxy Z Flip 6, Z Fold 6, Galaxy S23 lineup, and several mid-range phones such as the Galaxy A36 5G, A54 5G, A55 5G, and their M- and F-series counterparts. Next month’s rollout will also include a long list of Galaxy tablets, such as the Tab S10 FE and Tab S9 series. The final wave, scheduled for November 2025, includes models such as the Galaxy A25 5G, A53 5G, M53 5G, and budget Tab A9 devices.

One UI 8 features

The One UI 8 is not a big update compared to the One UI 7 but it offers several useful upgrades. It comes with a more secure version of Secure Folder, upgraded apps like Calendar, Reminders and Alarm. It will also bring updated Quick Share for easy file transfers, added new customisation options and more.
