Meta has been ruling the AR VR market for quite a long time with its Meta Quest MR headsets.
Zuckerberg tried the Vision Pro for the first time and posted his comparison on social media.
He really liked the eye-tracing in Apple's MR headset, which doesn't come with the Meta Quest 3.
Apple Vision Pro has been a big hit in the US market. But, it seems like Meta hasn’t taken it well, and obviously, why would it? Meta has been ruling the AR VR market for quite a long time with its Meta Quest MR headsets. However, Apple’s not-so-affordable MR headset wasn’t been able to impress much the Meta CEO, Mark Zuckerberg. He tried the Vision Pro for the first time and posted his comparison on social media. Zuckerberg pointed out how Apple Vision Pro is way too expensive than Meta Quest, but still couldn’t beat it in so many aspects.

Apple Vision Pro VS Meta Quest 3: Zuckerberg Edition
Zuckerberg has taken his opinion to social media, which was shot with Meta Quest 3. He says, “I expected that Quest would be the better value for most people since it’s seven times less expensive. But after using it, I don’t just think that Quest is only the better value, I think Quest is the best product, period!” The Meta Quest 3 sells in the US for $499, whereas, the Apple Vision is priced at $3,499.
After that, he explains that Meta Quest 3 also offers high-quality passthrough with big screens just like Apple Vision Pro. However, according to him, Meta Quest 3 is better for the vast majority. Why? Because of its lightweight design that enables you to move around, do workouts, and more, unlike the Vision Pro which was trolled a lot because of its heavy weight.

Furthermore, he added that the Meta Quest 3 is a lot more comfortable than the Apple Vision Pro. How? Firstly the weight, he said, “Quest weighs 120 grams less.” Moreover, Apple Vision Pro requires a power bank and a wire to run. On the other hand, Meta Quest 3 doesn’t need any of that. If you ask me, I would also go for the wireless MR headset as it is more comfortable if you move around. Next, he added that Meta Quest 3 has a wider field of view and a brighter screen.
The Apple Vision Pro has a high-resolution display that Meta Quest 3 doesn’t offer. Zuckerberg added that it’s surprising how Apple trade-offs other things such as ergonimics, comfort, and more to provide a good display. Apart from that, he really liked the eye-tracing in Apple’s MR headset, which doesn’t come with the Meta Quest 3.
