Halo 4 multiplayer requires an 8GB USB drive or an Xbox 360 HDD

Halo 4 is one of the most anticipated games of the current console generation and is expected to hit store shelves on November 6, 2012. Even though gamers are very excited to get their hands on the game, there is a catch if you want to play Halo 4 multiplayer.

Gamers will require an 8GB flash drive or an Xbox 360 hard drive to play Halo 4 multiplayer. This means that if you have an Xbox 360 arcade or the 4GB Xbox, you will have to invest in an additional USB drive. This doesn’t seem that bad considering the starting price of an 8GB USB drive in India is Rs. 300 approx.

Microsoft however claims that for the optimal gaming experience, gamers go in for the hard drive option rather than the USB stick. This may not be the most economical option for gamers as a 320GB Xbox 360 hard drive will cost gamers Rs. 8,200.

Halo 4 marks the beginning of a new trilogy in the franchise starring the hero who started it all – Master Chief. Halo 4 picks up four years after the events of Halo 3. The original trilogy was made by developer Bungie, but Halo 4 is being developed by 343 Industries. 343 has taken charge of continuing the Halo franchise after Bungie “moved on” and has now decided to make multiplatform games.

343 Industries has promised to deliver a true Halo experience to fans by sticking to the tried and tested traditions of the series that gamers love, yet adding elements to the game that will ensure that it looks like the next big thing in the franchise.
