Bow in awe! We have the first little tidbit of information about the highly anticipated possibly final sequel the Half-Life 2 episode series. It would appear that there are references to Half-Life Episode 3 assets in Valve’s recently released free game Alien Swarm.
This marvelous discovery was made by StickZer0 at the Steam forums in the Alien Swarm SDK which was released along with the game.
This reminds us of patches Valve released for Portal which introduced hints of game Portal 2 in the form of a new achievement, and an altered ending. Those who have Half-Life 2 installed would have noticed that nearly all Half-Life 2 series games have received updated recently, yet these don’t seem to be mentioned. Could Valve have inject more mentions of Episode 3 in these games? We’re off to play Half-Life 2, and its episodes to find out!
