Krafton India is getting ready to release the new BGMI 4.4 update this week. The update contains many interesting features other than the usual seasonal updates. It will allow gamers to gain new flying abilities, explore ancient battlegrounds, and face combat challenges. There will be some locations in Erangel which have been modified according to marble temple designs as well as mythical settings. In addition to the new visual features, gamers will be able to fight bosses, receive rewards, and utilise abilities in the game. The update is expected to go live gradually throughout the day to avoid heavy server traffic during launch hours for all users nationwide.

BGMI 4.4 update: What to expect from Hero Crown mode
The biggest highlight of the update is the new Hero’s Crown mode. Krafton has transformed parts of Erangel into ancient-themed battle zones with giant marble structures and redesigned landscapes. Locations like Ruins and Ferry Pier will appear completely different after the update.
A new floating island called Crown’s Abode will also arrive in the game. It is expected to become a high-risk loot area for aggressive squads looking for better rewards early in matches. Players landing there can reportedly earn an extra recall chance for teammates.
The mode also introduces three combat trials. Spartan’s Trial focuses on defending a battle flag while surviving enemy waves. Icarus’ Trial rewards players with temporary flying powers, while Achilles’ Trial is designed around fast combat and phantom hunts. Players can also ride Sun Chariots and fight bosses for rare loot drops.
BGMI 4.4 update: How to download
Android users can download the update directly from the Google Play Store through the ‘Manage apps’ section. iPhone users need to refresh the App Store updates page before downloading the latest version. APK users can manually install the official file after Krafton releases it later on May 20. Players should keep enough storage space free before starting the download.
