Fans of Stranger Things might think the story of Hawkins is over, but the universe is about to expand in a new way. A new animated series called Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 is set to arrive this week. The show features familiar characters but presents them in an animated style. The idea for the series came up when the creators were exploring more ideas set in Hawkins. The story takes place during the winter of 1985 in Hawkins. According to the official description, ‘The original characters must fight new monsters and unravel a paranormal mystery terrorising their town in Stranger Things: Tales From ’85.’
