If you finished watching season two of the live-action One Piece on Netflix, chances are you are curious about what happens next in the adventure. The good news is that the story is far from over. The streaming platform has already confirmed that the series will return with a third season. Interestingly, the announcement came even before the second season had premiered.

Luffy, a young pirate who dreams of becoming the Pirate King. Over the first two seasons, viewers watched him sail across the seas and form the Straw Hat Pirates crew.

When could One Piece season 3 release?

Even though Netflix has officially confirmed a third season, the company has not shared a specific release date yet. According to reports, the next season could arrive sometime around mid-2027.

For fans, this may feel like quite a long wait. However, creating a series like One Piece takes a lot of time. The show features unique locations and characters with special abilities known as Devil Fruit powers. Turning these things into live action requires heavy visual effects work and a long post-production process.

One Piece season 3 what to expect

One Piece season 3 will most likely focus on the famous Alabasta Arc. In this storyline, Luffy and his crew travel to the kingdom of Alabasta, which is facing serious political tension and conflict. A key character in this arc is Nefertari Vivi, the princess of Alabasta. She seeks the help of Luffy and his crew as she tries to save her country from chaos. Standing against them is Crocodile, a powerful pirate secretly causing trouble.

The upcoming season will also introduce new characters. Xolo Mariduena will play Portgas D. Ace, while Cole Escola will appear as theatrical assassin Bon Clay.
