Netflix may soon change the way it offers content as the company is reportedly considering adding shows and movies from other streaming services to its platform. The New York Times recently reported that Netflix is in talks with Peacock and Fox One to bring their content to the streaming service. If the reports are to be trusted, then Netflix may develop into a one-stop shop where users can access content from various streaming services. Not only that but it could also change how people watch and pay for entertainment. At the time of writing Netflix has not officially confirmed these reports. Here’s everything we know so far.
SurveyAccording to The New York Times, Netflix may soon let users access other streaming platforms through its app. The company has reportedly discussed adding services like Peacock and Fox One. It is still unclear whether Netflix would sell subscriptions to these platforms or include their shows and movies directly in its own app. Rumours also suggest that Netflix could either sell subscriptions to these services or bring some of their content directly into its own app.

If the reports are to be trusted, then this can bring a big change on Netflix, which has generally kept its service focused on its own library. While the company has previously taken part in bundles with other streamers, it has not traditionally acted as a place where users can subscribe to competing streaming platforms.
Netflix competitors Amazon Prime Video and Roku already offer this kind of setup, as they allow customers to subscribe to other services through their platforms. YouTube, another major rival to Netflix, is also preparing to give Premium subscribers access to Peacock next year.

The entertainment platform has already started testing a similar approach in France. They added live channels and streaming content from French broadcaster TF1 to its app in June 2026. This partnership gives Netflix users access to programming beyond Netflix’s own library.
During Netflix’s July earnings call, co-CEO Greg Peters described the early results of the TF1 partnership as promising. He said Netflix would consider more deals if they benefit its members, its partners and the company itself.
