Paytm brings UPI Lite for iOS with cool features: Find out what’s new
HIGHLIGHTS

Paytm UPI Lite introduced to iOS now has 60 lakh users in India

Paytm feature allows you to make a group and split the bill there without manually doing it

Tag your payments and get all records at one place when you need them

With India becoming a global fintech hub, brands like Paytm, Gpay, PhonePe have become everyday names because they serve a daily need for sending and receiving digital payments. We hardly carry around cash at the moment and depend on our phones to just scan and make the payment for us.

Therefore, Paytm has announced support for UPI Lite on iOS. With that the CEO and founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma also mentioned other features that they are bringing to the payment app.

Paytm associates the Paytm Payments Bank with support for Rupay Credit cards and UPI and now there will be features like split bills,  pin contact for easy access, set up a different or alternative UPI ID and hide mobile number.

Paytm

The UPI Lite version was available for only Android, but now it's available for iOS users as well. With that there are around 60 lakh users in India only. UPI Lite is said to be useful when there is a peak hour and you face issues making any transaction from other UPI apps. UPI Lite on Paytm is supported by 13 banks in India currently.

Paytm has also informed that RuPay credit card holders can also register and have an OTP less UPI payment experience. Also, now they'll get reward points like non-credit card users do.

A brand new Split Bill feature is coming to Paytm very soon. This will allow you to form a group with your friends when you go out with them and then whoever  pays can put in the bill amount there and it will be split within everyone. Also, if there is someone with whom you have regular transactions, like your flatmate, then you can pin their contact now so that you don't have to search for them from contacts once again.

Also, now you can tag all your payments on Paytm. So, the payments made under the same tag will all be stored in one specific place and you can go back to the records whenever you want to look it up in the future.

So, these features are going to be of real help and the way we use Paytm day in and day out these new features are a welcome addition, no doubt.
