Vivo’s gaming-centric sub-brand, iQOO, will launch the latest iQOO 9t in India sometime in July – possibly towards the end of the month. The company has confirmed that this device will launch in India soon. The upcoming iQOO 9t is expected to be
powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC – an upgrade over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 that powers the iQOO 9 Pro. The exact specifications of the device are still unknown with no leaks or rumours giving away too much.
The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is the latest chip from Qualcomm which will power a few other smartphones such as the Xiaomi 12S, OnePlus 10T and the ASUS ROG Phone 6. The chipset will eventually make its way to phones from other brands such as Motorola, Oppo and Samsung soon. The chipset is built on the 4nm process and will offer up to a 30 per cent increase in power efficiency and a 10 per cent improvement in performance.
Although not a lot is known about the specifications of the iQOO 9t, there are some speculations flying around. The phone may sport a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 120 Hz refresh rate. The phone may have 12 GB RAM and 256 GB internal storage – at least for the base variant. For photography, we may see a triple rear camera setup and the 50 MP lens may sport Gimbal OIS.
