A major reason behind the boost is because of the new Light Boosting Algorithm and Light Control Architecture. The end result is a picture where sunlit skies and neon signage actually look bright, instead of merely accurate. 

Perfect black and perfect colour, regardless of the room

While having the higher brightness panel may seem like everything is glitter and gold, it can also wash out an OLED’s signature deep blacks. To save this from happening, LG has paired it with UL-verified Perfect Black and Perfect Colour performance, aiming for consistent contrast and colour fidelity whether the room is dimly lit for the movie night or bright for the afternoon match. 

Reflection-free premium for daylight viewing

Coming to the India-specific feature, the G6 also carries Reflection Free Premium certification, engineered to cut down glare without the trade-off seen on matte “glare-free” rival displays, which tend to lighten true black into grey. LG’s approach preserves transmittance while minimizing reflectance, so the screen should stay watchable even facing a window. A common problem amongst Indian-households, where sunlight is usually a pain-point for most people.  

A new brain behind the screen

Driving the LG OLED G6 is the Alpha 11 AI Processor 4K Gen3 with a Dual AI Engine. LG positions this as a meaningful jump over last year’s chip, with a more capable NPU, a faster CPU, and stronger GPU performance feeding into sharper, more natural-looking upscaling. Taken together, the OLED G6 reads less like an incremental OLED refresh and more like LG’s attempt to remove OLED’s last remaining objections, brightness and daylight glare, while using AI to make the TV genuinely easier to live with day to day.
