Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi Note 10 Pro in India alongside the Redmi Note 10 and Redmi Note 10 Pro Max. The Redmi Note 10 series has undergone cosmetic change as well as major hardware upgrades over the Redmi Note 9 range. The Redmi Note 10 Pro has a lot going for itself, especially since it is positioned in the lower-mid-range price segment.
The Redmi Note 10 Pro features a high-refresh-rate Super AMOLED display, octa-core Qualcomm processor, quad cameras on the back and a fast-charging battery to boot. At its asking price, it goes up against the likes of the Realme 7 that was launched in September 2020 in India. Xiaomi has priced the Redmi Note 10 Pro starting at Rs 15,999 for the base variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage, Rs 16,999 for the 6GB+128GB storage and Rs 18,999 for the maxed-out 8GB+128GB variant.
The Realme 7 starts at Rs 14,999 for the 6GB+64GB variant and Rs 16,999 for the 8GB+128GB option.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro vs Realme 7: Design and Display
The Redmi Note 10 Pro has a glass back attached to a plastic frame and measures 8.1 millimetres in thickness, weighing in at 193 grams. The rear panel has a matte-frosted finish on the back. Meanwhile, the Realme 7 has a plastic build that measures 9.4 millimetres in thickness and weighs 196.5 grams.
The Redmi Note 10 Pro features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) resolution display that uses a Super AMOLED panel with support for 120Hz high-refresh-rate and HDR10. The screen has a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera and is topped with a layer of Gorilla Glass 5.
Realme 7, on the other hand, has a 6.5-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) resolution display with an LCD panel that supports a 90Hz refresh rate. The screen has Gorilla Glass 3 protection against regular wear and tear.

The Redmi Note 10 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G processor with an octa-core CPU and Adreno 618 GPU. The octa-core CPU has two Kryo 470 Gold cores running at upto 2.3GHz and six Kryo 470 Silver cores running at upto 1.8GHz. Then there’s the Adreno 618 GPU for handling the graphics duties and this is paired with upto 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and upto 128GB UFS 2.2 storage options to choose from.
Realme 7 has MediaTek Helio G95 under the hood with an octa-core CPU and Mali-G76 GPU. There are two Cortex-A76 cores running at upto 2.05GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores running at upto 2.0GHz. This is paired with Mali-G76 GPU and upto 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variants.
Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 10 Pro runs on the latest Android 11 based MIUI 12 while the Realme 7 runs on Realme UI which is based on Android 10. That said, Realme will soon release the Android 11 update for the Realme 7.
The Redmi Note 10 Pro also has stereo speakers and both phones have a side-mounted fingerprint reader.

The Redmi Note 10 Pro has quad cameras on the back headlined by a primary 64MP camera that uses Samsung’s ISOCELL GW3 sensor with an f/1.9, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with 118-degree field-of-view, 5MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The rear cameras can record in 4K UHD at 30FPS and 1080p at upto 60FPS.
On the front, there is a 16MP selfie camera housed within the notch cutout with features like night mode, beautify, portrait and 1080p video recording as well.
The Realme 7 also has quad cameras on the back that consists of a primary 64MP camera that uses a Sony IMX682 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with a 119-degree field-of-view, 2MP macro camera and 2MP depth sensor. The rear cameras can record in 4K UHD at 30FPS with support for EIS. On the front, there is a 16MP selfie camera housed within the notch cutout.

The Redmi Note 10 Pro is equipped with a 5,020mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. Xiaomi claims that the phone can go from 0-100% in 74 minutes.
The Realme 7 is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging that Realme claims can recharge the phone from 0-100% in 65 minutes.
