Lava Iris Icon: Design and Camera [Promotion]
HIGHLIGHTS

Lava Iris Icon has a very good camera and impressive design and we dive deep into the two aspects.

The Lava Iris Icon is a good looking smartphone in a segment defined by orthodox looking smartphones. But the smartphone is not just good looking, Lava has gone one step further to refine the UI and added a very good rear camera to the mix. The Icon has a 13MP rear shooter which takes great photos. Let’s dig deeper and explore these attributes.

Unorthodox Design
Smartphones in the budget segment look more or less the same but there are some exceptions and the Lava Iris Icon is one of them. The Iris Icon will make heads turn as the phone looks more premium than what its price may suggest. The phone gets a brushed metal finish right below the 5-inch HD display. This design language continues as we can find a similar brushed metal finish around the entire phone.

The power and volume rocker buttons also get the premium treatment as well. The buttons also carry a chamfered look and offer a very tactile feel when pushed. The right side tray above the volume rocker hides the Dual-SIM tray and the tray on the left side can host a microSD card. The back, which is clear plastic, gives the phone a glass like look which adds to the premium design of the Lava Iris Icon.

A good 13MP rear camera
A rear 13MP rear camera is turning out to be the norm lately and the Lava Iris Icon offers an impressive one. The camera has a BS-II sensor and f2.0 aperture which is further complimented by a Dual-LED Flash.

The rear camera shoots good images in almost every light condition. Take a look at the images below:

As you can see, the images have good colour accuracy and the dynamic range is pretty accurate as well. Factors like unwanted noise or contrast shift is kept minimal in low light conditions.
