The iQOO 3 5G: A quick look at some of the most interesting features of the new smartphone

The year 2020 is the start of a new decade that promises a revolution in terms of technology. Of course, one would want to start the new decade with a brand new smartphone. A smartphone that is not only powerful but also future-proof, so that you don’t have to consider buying a new smartphone for the next few years.

iQOO is a new entrant in the Indian market. However, instead of entering the market slowly and steadily, they have decided to come in all guns blazing with the iQOO 3 5G, a flagship-grade phone that promises to deliver monstrous performance at a reasonable price. Here’s a quick look at what the new phone has to offer.

Power-packed

The iQOO is one of the first ones in the market to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC. This is the newest flagship 7nm chipset available from Qualcomm and packs the latest A77 architecture. In fact, the company claims that the Snapdragon 865 offers a 25% increase in performance and a 30% reduction in energy consumption as compared to last year’s Snapdragon 855 SoC. Helping matters is the fact that the phone is available with up to a whopping 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM.

Point and click

The iQOO 3 5G also comes with a quad-rear camera setup that consists of a 48MP primary sensor, a 13MP sensor with a telephoto lens, another 13MP sensor with an ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP sensor for bokeh shots. Thanks to the telephoto lens, the iQOO 3 5G offers up to 20x digital zoom, so users will be able to take close-up shots. Without the need to physically get close to the subjects. The ultra-wide lens on the other 13MP sensor allows users to take wide-angle shots with a 120-degree field of view. This would allow for majestic landscape shots as well as group shots without the need for people to squeeze in together.

As one can see, the iQOO 3 5G is a phone that not only offers top-not performance but also offers a host of other features that should intrigue a wide range of users. Prices for the phone start at Rs 36,990 and go all the way up to Rs 44,990 for the 5G variant. It's up for purchase on Flipkart and iQOO's own e-store.

Keep going with super fast charging and large battery pack

What is the point of a powerful smartphone if you cannot use it for an entire day. The device is powered by a 4440mAh battery, which should ensure a day’s worth of use for most users. However, when the battery finally gets low, you won’t have to wait too long to charge it back up thanks to the 55W Super FlashCharge Technology. In fact, the company claims that the tech allows the phone to charge up to 50% in 15 minutes.

Binge away on that Super AMOLED display!

The iQOO 3 5G packs a large 6.44-inch Full HD+ display with a resolution of 2400x1080p. On top of that, you also get a Super AMOLED panel which offers deeper blacks and more vibrant colours as compared to traditional LCD panels. As if that wasn’t enough, the display also supports HDR10+ standard, so you would be able to view HDR quality videos on your smartphone. How cool is that!

Ready for 5G

One of the coolest features of the iQOO 3 5G is right there in the name. The smartphone supports the next generation of wireless cellular technology. However, the tech isn’t available for consumers in India yet. But with the iQOO 3 5G, you can rest assured in the knowledge that you will be ready to experience the high speeds and low latency that 5G promises the moment it becomes available in the country.
