Here’s What Makes the vivo Z1x a Fully Loaded Smartphone

When it comes to buying smartphones, buyers tend to look for phones that offer value for money, and for good reason, these phones tend to offer a range of features. As such manufacturers tend to offer devices that are more like jacks of all trades. This is good news for consumers as they get a phone that can offer them something of everything. Vivo’s new Z1x aims to do just that. By offering a device that aims to offer consumers a range of features. Here’s what the phone has to offer.

It’s time for a selfie

Thanks to the rise of social media, one could say that the front camera on a phone sees almost as much action as the rear camera, if not more. It looks like vivo knows this quite well. The vivo Z1x sports a large 32MP Selfie Camera. On top of this, it also comes with multiple selfie modes that are aimed at taking your selfie game a notch higher. These include AI Face Beauty, AR Stickers, AI Filter and more.

Triple tango

Of course, vivo hasn’t forgotten about the rear camera. The phone features an AI Triple-Rear Camera setup with a 48MP+8MP+2MP configuration. The 48MP unit is used to take your standard shots. The 8MP unit sports a Super Wide-Angle lens. This Super-Wide-Angle Camera expands your view to 120° and helps to capture a much wider field of view, also the device comes in handy when taking photos of landscapes or group photos. The 2MP unit is used for depth measurement and is used to capture bokeh shots in which the subject is in focus, but the background is blurred. This helps to draw the viewer’s eyes to the subject.

AI magic

The vivo Z1x aims to give consumers even more flexibility when taking shots. It can also be used to take photos from unique perspectives because of the ultra wide lens. The AI Super Night Mode helps users take brighter shots in the dark. It works by taking multiple shots at different exposures. It then intelligently combines them together to improve the overall brightness of the photos.

Powered by Snapdragon

The vivo Z1x is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 712 SoC. This offers a maximum clock speed of 2.3GHz and sports an Adreno 616 GPU. Overall, it is said to offer a 10% increase in performance as compared to the Snapdragon 710 SoC. Further, it features the third generation of Qualcomm’s AI Engine, which should ensure improved AI performance. On top of this, the phone offers 6GB RAM along with 64GB and 128GB storage options, which should be more than enough for most use cases.

Lots of juice

Although the vivo Z1x is 8.13mm thick, the company managed to pack a 4500mAh battery into it. This should be more than enough for hours of use. In fact, the company says that consumers can use the OTG reverse charging function to charge other phones as well. Further, the vivo Z1x supports 22.5W vivo FlashCharge tech. So you do not have to wait forever for your phone to charge back up.

A complete view

The vivo Z1x sports a large 6.38-inch Super AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. This means that the phone is taller and narrower than a device with the same size display and a traditional 16:9 aspect ratio. As such, the phone is easier to hold in one hand, while still offering a big screen experience. Other features of the phone’s display include a screen-to-body ratio of 90%, which means it offers really small bezels around the display. vivo calls this the Halo FullView™ display and makes for an improved video watching experience.

More than meets the eye

While the Super AMOLED panel on the vivo Z1x may look vibrant and colourful, it also allows for the use of ‘Always On Display’ functionality with little effect on battery life. The Always On Display lets you quickly glance at the time or any notifications without the need to turn on the display. Further, the display also hides the fingerprint sensor which is located just under it. By placing the sensor under the display, the vivo Z1x is able to offer a cleaner look to the phone.

As one can see, the vivo Z1x offers a whole host of features in both the hardware and software departments. Combine this with the fact that the phone is priced at Rs 16,990 for the 64GB variant and Rs 18,990 for the 128GB model, and you can see why the vivo Z1x makes a strong case for itself to anyone looking for a sub-20K smartphone.
