Go Pop: 5 Cool Reasons to Check the vivo V15 Out

We live in an age where most smartphones look eerily similar to one another. Although these handy devices are supposedly the most personalized extensions of the one who uses it, the rampant homogeneousness in design ensures that no one really stands out.

vivo was one of the first smartphone companies to create a product that got rid of the notch — an all-pervasive design feature in most phones at a point. The Nex was a flagship-grade smartphone that used a Pop-Up Camera to offer users a high screen-to-body ratio sans a notch. With the vivo V15, the company brings this innovation to a more affordable segment.

Here’s a look at some of the most notable features of the latest entrant — the vivo V15.

Look Ma, No Notch!

The V15 does not feature a notch, which is prevalent in most contemporary smartphones in the market. Instead, the front camera is a Pop-Up Camera, hidden away inside the body. As a result, you get a screen-to-body ratio of 90.95%. This means that you get to enjoy the large 6.53-inch display without anything blocking the view.

Now You See It, Now You Don’t

The aforementioned Pop-Up Camera is unlike what you get in most smartphones. The camera elevates when you need to take selfies, and hides away when it’s not needed. On top of this, the Pop-Up module houses a fairly large 32MP unit. vivo has assured its customers that the module has gone through plenty of pressure and drop tests to ensure reliability and performance.

Three Musketeers

The Triple-Rear Camera setup on the vivo V15 is no slouch either. The phone features a 12MP+8MP+5MP configuration. The main 12MP unit sports a 1/2.8-inch sensor and a f/1.78 aperture lens. The 5MP unit is used for sensing depth and comes in handy when taking Bokeh shots. The 8MP sensor features a wide-angle lens, which can be quite handy when taking photos of landscapes, groups and more. Further, the phone comes with an AI Body Shaping feature, which vivo says allows users to alter certain features such as height, waist and more.

No More Waiting Around

While a phone with a long battery life is good, phone charging times is equally important. The vivo V15 comes with the company’s Dual-Engine Fast Charging system. With this tech in place, the 4000mAh battery in the vivo V15 not only charges quickly but safely as well.

Your Assistant at Your Fingertips

The vivo V15 comes with a dedicated AI button. A single press brings up the Google Assistant, which a double tap lets you access the Jovi Image Recogniser. The vivo V15 comes with its own set of commands for the Google Assistant. So you will be able to turn on the AI Face Beauty Mode through it. The Jovi Image Recogniser offers you a new way to shop. It scans an image and as per vivo, it goes through hundreds of e-commerce platforms to give you the option to buy the object for yourself. How cool is that?

With its notch-less design, pop-up cameras and other interesting features, the vivo V15 makes a strong case for itself for anyone looking for a phone that will help them ‘pop’ from the crowd.
