eSports are becoming increasingly popular.

Budget gaming laptops can be used to experience the world of eSports.

Gaming laptops with high refresh rate displays are ideal for eSports.

PC Gaming is usually seen as an expensive affair, and you wouldn’t be wrong to think so. We recently looked at how the upcoming Xbox Series S with its price tag offers a level of performance that a gaming PC just cannot achieve in that price bracket. However, if you’re looking at the world of eSports, playing titles such as Valorant, CS:Go, Overwatch or even LOL or DOTA, you don’t have to break the bank to get yourself a laptop that would meet your needs. While its generally accepted that higher fps is always better, you can still get a decent experience with laptops that don’t make you shell out your life’s savings. If you’re looking for a budget laptop for eSports, here’s a few for you to consider.

Acer Nitro 5

One of the most popular gaming laptops within our community of readers, no gaming lister can be complete without the mention of the Acer Nitro 5. This is because the Nitro 5 offers a great balance between hardware and price. The variant we’re talking about is powered by a 9th generation Intel Core i5-9300F processor paired with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 with 4GB VRAM. In addition, there’s 8GB of DDR4 memory which is upgradeable a combination of 256GB SSD+1TB HDD. The display has a resolution of 1920x1080p, with a refresh rate of 60Hz. Asus TUF Gaming A15

The TUF Gaming A15 comes in multiple variants, but the one powered by the AMD Ryzen 5 4600H and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 (4GB DDR6). Atop that, Asus also throws in 16GB od DDR4 memory and a 512GB NVMe drive for high-speed, high-capacity storage. The 1080p display offers a refresh rate of only 60Hz, a frame rate that is achievable if you’re playing a game like CS:Go or even the newly launched Valorant. If high refresh rate is an absolute requirement, you could consider a higher tier variant of the TUF Gaming A15, but that machine would definitely not qualify as a budget gaming laptop. We've reviewed a higher-end variant, which you can read about here. Click here to buy.

HP Pavilion Gaming 15
