Call of Duty: Mobile's Season 13 update is rolling out

The update will soon introduce the Nuketown Russia map

Here are some tips to help you win in Nuketown Russia

Call of Duty: Mobile’s Season 13 update, called Winter War has been released. As always, there are a lot of new additions that come with the update including a new map called Nuketown Russia. As the name would suggest, this is a new version of the classic Nuketown map. However, instead of being set in the US, this one is set on a nuclear facility in Chernobyl.

It should be noted that the overall layout for Nuketown Russia is pretty much the same as the classic version of Nuketown. As such, the tips here could also be used in the classic version of the map as well. Another thing to note is that Nuketown Russia isn’t available to all yet, but should be available soon.

Now, on with the tips

Know your sight lines

The Nuketown/Nuketown Russia map may be small, but certain areas can offer views from nearly half-way across the map. Knowing this is vital as that can mean the difference between winning and losing. Defensive players can use these areas to get some kills on distracted opponents, while offensive players will know to check these areas before making a move.

Do not camp for long

As mentioned earlier, there are numerous sight lines in Nuketown Russia/Nuketown. As such, the temptation to camp can be great. However, don’t stick to a single place for too long. It won’t be long before opponents figure out where you are and try and get the drop on you. When faced with a camper, consider using grenades to flush them out.

Central gamble

Located centrally north and south of the map are two vehicles. These vehicles offer an excellent location to get the jump on opponents engaging your teammates. The vehicle also offers excellent cover, letting you get the drop on multiple enemies before the need to relocate. However, do keep in mind that in/when that vehicle explodes, it will most likely take you with it. Something to consider if you face such an opponent.

Choose the right weapon

Nuketown and Nuketown Russia offer opportunities for all types of players. However, some areas are better suited for certain weapons. Snipers are better off camping near their team’s spawn point. Those with assault rifles can be deadly in the middle and when pressing enemies. SMG and shotguns can wreak havoc inside the two houses. Regardless, choose your role depending on your weapon of choice and don’t be afraid to switch things around mid-match if you think things aren’t working out.

Practice your throwing arm

Grenades are quite useful in general, but in Nuketown and Nuketown Russia. They really come into their own in this map. Loving your standard grenades or Molotov cocktail over the train cars/busses in the middle is pretty much a necessity at the start of the map. Tactical grenades can be used to leave behind a nasty surprise. Smoke grenades can leave snipers helpless, while flashbangs can help you deal with campers.

Beware the skies

Nuketown Russia and Nuketown make for excellent maps as they are open to pretty much all types of scorestreaks. As such, you should expect many players to equip an aerial scorestreak like UAV, Stealth Helicopter or even a VTOL. As such, it's a good idea to pack a launcher. The backyard in the team's spawn point usually offers a good view of your target. So you can take the scorestreaks out without exposing yourself. You can also consider getting the SAM turret and setting it up at the spawn point.
