Apple is gearing up for its annual developer conference the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2025. This conference will take place from June 9 to June 13. It will kick off with a keynote at Apple Park on June 9, followed by developer-focused sessions throughout the week. This year, all eyes are on the expected redesign of Apple’s operating systems — iOS, iPadOS, macOS and more. According to reports, these updates will feature the most significant design changes since the launch of iOS 7.

However, if you are hoping to see major improvements to Siri, Apple’s voice assistant, you might be disappointed. A recent report from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman suggests that big changes to Siri are unlikely to be a main focus at WWDC 2025. While Apple has hinted at adding AI features to Siri in the past, Gurman claims that those updates aren’t ready for the spotlight just yet.

According to Gurman, Apple’s software head Craig Federighi initially hesitated to focus on AI, fearing it might divert attention from core product development. This reluctance played a role in the delayed advancement of Siri, causing Apple to fall behind rivals like Google Assistant and ChatGPT.

Meanwhile, Apple is said to be working on a new version of Siri, powered by advanced AI models — something internally called LLM Siri. But due to Siri’s current reputation, Apple may keep this project separate from its main Apple Intelligence.
