Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is offering a Rs 1 prepaid plan to celebrate Independence Day 2025. The plan offers impressive benefits, including 2GB data and unlimited calling for just Rs 1 and more. Plus, BSNL users can also enjoy nationwide roaming, making it one of the most affordable entry-level packs currently available. The limited-time ‘Freedom Offer’ is announced via its official X (formerly Twitter) handle; however, there’s a catch. Not all users are eligible for this plan.

Who can avail of the BSNL Rs 1 Azadi ka Plan?
BSNL confirmed that the offer is valid exclusively for new users. To avail of it, customers must purchase a new BSNL SIM card between August 1 and August 31, with the recharge amount fixed at Rs 1. The plan is available across all telecom circles.

The plan priced at Rs 1 offers a free SIM with 2GB data, daily unlimited calling, 100 SMS/day, for a 30-day validity. Those willing to avail this offer can head to the nearest BSNL CSC or retailer to buy a new SIM and get these benefits.

Apart from this, the telco also offers a Rs 599 plan offering 3GB daily data, unlimited calling and 100 SMS per day benefits. The plan is valid for up to 84 days. Further, there are other plans too, including a Rs 347 prepaid plan offering 2GB daily data, unlimited calling and 100 SMS per day for 54 days of validity.
