Xiaomi Mi A2 with Android One launching in India today: Specs, features, price, offers, and all you need to know
Xiaomi will launch the Mi A2 Android One smartphone in India at 4PM today. The company will most likely follow a flash sale model for the phone which will go up for grabs on Amazon.in.
When Xiaomi launched the Mi A1 in India, the device quickly became one of the most popular premium budget phones in the country given its stock Android finish. The departure from MIUI helped Xiaomi gain more traction in the Indian market and when the company launched the Mi A1 with Android One last year, the smartphone further boosted its market share in the country and made the brand almost invincible in the premium budget smartphone segment. Xiaomi even held a poll on its twitter handle asking fans if they prefer MIUI or stock Android, and the result of the poll was unsurprisingly in favour of Android One. Hence, the Mi A2 was born to succeed the Mi A1 and follow in its footsteps to engage users who want faster OS updates and the familiar feel of Android.
Today, the Xiaomi Mi A2 will be launched in India at 4PM and the company will be livestreaming the event online. You can catch the livestream of the Mi A2 launch here. Xiaomi will also be giving out 100 F-Codes to participants of the Mi A2 livestream and those interested in grabbing those F-Codes should head over here and register for the contest. The F-Codes provided by Xiaomi will push buyers to the front of the line and guarantee them a handset, even during flash sales. It is a sure-shot way of getting the Xiaomi Mi A2 when it first goes on sale on Amazon.in.
When Xiaomi launched its Mi A2 globally, the company also unveiled the Mi A2 Lite. The Mi A2 Lite also comes with an all-metal body and Android One, but unlike the Mi A2, the Mi A2 Lite has a notch on the display. Unfortunately, India was not on the list of countries slated to get the Mi A2 Lite, so you will have to do with the Mi A2 if you are looking to buy Xiaomi’s latest Android One offering. Let’s take a look at the specs of the device.
